In late October we visited an observatory deep in the mountains about 2 hours out of Nagoya. We arrived in the mid after noon and played in the park until Takumi fell over due to overexercise.
We had high expectations of the night sky viewing due to the size of the telescope and the set of the whole facilty was clearly geared to students of Astronomy.
The BYO BBQ was alot of fun (made a fire) and by dark we were ready for some stargazing.
For future visitors to observatory's, the greater ones ability to stay up through the whole night, the greater aray of interesting things there will be to see.
We were happy with the stars view with the lights out and eyes shut at around 10.30!
